“Yawwwn …” groans Allen. It’s dawn and it’s time to get ready for the beautiful day ahead
of him. He grabs his pencil, draws himself some clothes, and rushes outside to his amazing
town called “The Craft Table.”
Yes, he and all his friends are created out of paper folding.
He walks to his favorite papercraft tree and eats breakfast.
Allen has awakened too early.
So he goes back to sleep.
“Huh?” He wakes up, noticing that there’s a bunch of commotion in the middle of the
“Everybody,” informs the mayor. “We have a new citizen! Meet … Jeff.”
“Thank you all. I’m really excited.” Jeff pauses, noticing there’s a strange creature in the
crowd. It looks like a … a crumpled-up creation. With eyes?
“Aahhhh!!” The creature shoves a citizen into the shredder. “I’m one of the unused
creations. We want to kill all of ‘The Craft Table’ citizens!”
Suddenly the creature’s guards also push Allen towards the shredder.
“Help!” he screams.
The shredder comes closer.
Jeff leaps down to save him, right before Allen’s shredded, pushing him to safety just
beyond reach of the shredder’s blades.
“Thanks.” says Allen.
“No problem. I always try to do my best to help citizens in need.”
They climb back up to “The Craft Table.”
The next morning, Jeff and Allen decide to take a hike. They stroll through the town,
mounds, and forests.
“I’ve never crossed this part of the papercraft forest before,” Allen says.
“Should we keep going?” Jeff asks.
Allen wonders if those attacking creatures they saw yesterday live there. “Wait.”
After thinking it over some more, the two continue their traveling, heading deeper into the
strange forest. Coming to a “Beware” sign, they ignore it. Soon they start to see a whole new
world. It is very windy because a fan has been left on.
“Look at that!” Jeff exclaims as they walk past towers of Dry-Erase Markers.
“Hey!” a figure screams. “Go back where you came from. We’re in the middle of our plan
to destroy ‘The Craft Table!’”
Jeff and Allen quickly run back to their home town.
“Gosh!” Jeff exclaims. “Did you hear that? They want to destroy our home town.”
“That means we need a plan to fight back,” Allan replies thoughtfully. “Let’s go get some
They speedily inform all the other citizens of the danger. Everyone quickly gets to work.
Allen works on a boomerang paper airplane, while Jeff works on paper poppers. All of the
other citizens help them.
Soon they are ready for battle.
No enemy comes.
“Strange,” Allen tells Jeff.
All of a sudden everything goes black.
“The lamp, it’s been turned off!” Allen screams. “None of our kind could’ve done that.”
CHING! A slashing sound emerges. The lamp turns on again as they see their enemies …
“We know you were sneaking around in our land, and now you’ll pay!”
So a war starts. Paper airplanes are flying everywhere!
The crumpled ball secretly leaves the battle.
Jeff quickly avoids the slash of the scissors.
All of a sudden, enemies are nowhere to be found.
“We won! Woo hoo!” Allen cheers.
All of this fighting causes Allen and Jeff to feel tired, so they go to sleep.
Eventually, Jeff wakes up, noticing something strange in town.
“Look,” Jeff demands.
“Wait … I’m trying to sleep.” Allen opens his eyes. None of the citizens are there! The
enemies must have taken them!
Allen and Jeff head to the unusual place they visited before the war. This time, they push
on deeper and deeper. They start to hear cries of panic. So they race forward even FARTHER.
“Well, well, well …” they hear. “Look who showed up.”
They look up. There he is, the crumpled creature of paper, sitting on his cardboard throne.
Next to him are citizens in peril.
“Hey!” says Allen angrily. “Give us our citizens back!”
The creature stares at them and laughs. “You think I’d just give them to you? Think again.”
His guards snatch Jeff.
“Jeff!” Allen says in fear.
“Today … I show you … the eraser.” The creature grabs an eraser and erases Jeff’s face.
“Now … I will re-draw his face.”
The creature grabs a pencil and draws an evil guard face on Jeff. “Now, Jeff, attack this
citizen named Allen.”
His new face must’ve given him a new emotion , Allen believes.
Jeff tries to ATTACK Allen.
Allen notices that there’s a pencil close to him. He snatches it, and doodles a mustache on
“Grrrr …” That just gets Jeff even angrier. He pushes Allen off the table, causing him to fall.
Allen falls to his fate.
Or does he?
“Huh?” Allen looks around. “I survived!” He cheers.
Allen sees something on the ground. A paper airplane , he whispers to himself. He’s saved!
He finds a place with wind. “A fan!” he says joyfully.
The wind carries him and the paper airplane back to the table and into Jeff’s face, knocking
“No!” the creased creation exclaims in anger.
“Ah-ha!” Allen sees the pencil and eraser! He snatches both, and draws Jeff his normal
Jeff wakes up and sees Allen. “I’m back to normal!” he says in happiness. “Great!”
“Now we need to save the other citizens,” Allen replies.
They are about to do so when the monster grabs his scissors. “Stay back, everyone. This is
the fate of both Allen and Jeff,” he shouts.
They back away, stepping over a pencil.
“Are you scared?” the creased ball cackles.
They keep backing away in fear, until …
“WHOA!” The creature trips over the pencil. Then scissors stab him, and he unfolds into a
partially crumpled sheet of paper.
“Wait!” Allen says. He notices some clothes, and a face drawn on the unfolded paper.
“You’re folded all wrong!”
He and Allen refold him into what he’s supposed to look like.
“I … I look amazing!” says the now uncrumpled creation. “I’m sorry about what I did, I was
just jealous that you were nice and folded, while I was crumpled. Thank you.”
As the citizens head back to their hometown, Allen says, “We’ll visit you again soon! You
could also visit us, too.”
The villain, now their friend, agrees.
Allen and Jeff talk a lot about their adventure, hoping that someday, just someday, they
could have another.
